Testing Data
Sensor Placements
We placed 8 temperature sensors in the Nordic Cycles to show its temperature contrast capabilities.
Results
Temperature testing shows the Nordic Cycles is able to achieve internal temperatures of 200+°F while the cold plunge maintains it's preset temperature of 39°F.

Temperature Test Notes
What does the temperature line graph above show?
- The line graph shows that while the internal temperature of the Nordic Cycles is able to climb above 200°F, the cold plunge maintains its low temperature setting (39°F was used).
Where were the sensors placed?
- Cold Plunge - sensor placed in center of cold plunge, 3 inches below the surface of the water
- Subfloor (Oven Space) - sensor placed at the bottom of the subfloor space (space where oven is able to be lowered below floor level), beneath the oven.
- Floor - sensor placed at floor level, in the center of the chamber.
- Low Bench Left - sensor placed at the top of the low bench back rest, on the left side of the bench.
- Low Bench Right - sensor placed at the top of the low bench back rest, on the right side of the bench.
- High Bench Left - sensor placed above the high bench back rest, on the left side of the bench.
- High Bench Middle - sensor placed above the high bench back rest, on the middle of the bench.
- High Bench Right - sensor placed above the high bench back rest, on the right side of the bench.
How long was the sauna heater left ON?
- The sauna heater was left ON for about 2.5 hours in the above test.
What were the starting temperatures of the test?
- Cold Plunge - 36.1 °F
- Subfloor (Oven Space) - 64.4 °F
- Floor - 66.7 °F
- Low Bench Left - 71.1 °F
- Low Bench Right - 70.2 °F
- High Bench Left - 72.3 °F
- High Bench Middle - 75.2 °F
- High Bench Right - 72.5 °F
What were the finishing temperatures of the test?
- Cold Plunge - 37.9 °F
- Subfloor (Oven Space) - 94.5 °F
- Floor - 113.9 °F
- Low Bench Left - 186.8 °F
- Low Bench Right - 190.9 °F
- High Bench Left - 213.1 °F
- High Bench Middle - 221.5 °F
- High Bench Right - 203.5 °F
Can the Nordic Cycles get even hotter?
- The Nordic Cycles is capable of achieving even higher temperatures than displayed above, but for the purpose of this test we didn't feel the need to leave the sauna heater on for a longer duration.
Can the cold plunge get even colder?
- While the cold plunge is capable of achieving temperatures lower than 39°F, the manufacturer notes this is the lowest temperature setting.
