Maintenance Tips

Congratulations on owning a Nordic Cycles, your personal haven for relaxation, recovery, and rejuvenation! To ensure your Nordic Cycles remains in top condition for years to come, proper maintenance is key. In this post, we'll cover essential maintenance tips for every aspect of your Nordic Cycles.

  1. Cold Plunge Maintenance:
    • Regularly clean the cold plunge surfaces using a soft brush to remove any dirt or debris.
    • Use the provided net to remove any floating dirt or debris.
    • Monitor the water level and pH balance, adjusting as needed to maintain optimal water quality.
    • Inspect the cold plunge filter regularly and replace it according to the manufacturer's recommendations.
    • Consider using the plunge cover when Nordic Cycles is not in use to prevent debris buildup and retain temperature.
    • Depending on usage, drain and replace the water on a 1-2 month basis.
    • If your Nordic Cycles is located in a climate with freezing temperatures, and you don't have the heater option for your cold plunge, you should make sure to drain the water when not in use.

  2. Chiller Maintenance:
    • Check the chiller unit for any signs of damage, such as leaks or unusual noises, and address them promptly.
    • If your Nordic Cycles is outside, ensure the chiller unit is located in an area covered and protected from the elements.
    • Clean the ventilation areas if you notice any buildup of debris or dust

  3. Sauna Maintenance:
    • Wipe down the sauna benches, walls, and floor with a dry towel after each use to remove sweat and prevent mold or mildew growth.
    • Consider leaving the heater on for 5-20 minutes after each use, to help dry out the sauna. Keep the door closed, but ventilation open.
    • Clean the sauna interior periodically using a soft brush, paying attention to hard-to-reach areas.
    • Ensure proper ventilation in the sauna by cleaning ventilation fans and vents as needed.

  4. Heater Maintenance:
    • Inspect the sauna heater regularly for any signs of wear or damage, such as corrosion.
    • Clean the sauna heater surrounding area using a soft brush to remove any dust or debris.
    • Wipe down the exterior of the unit if you notice any buildup.
    • Replace the sauna stones if you notice stone residue or small pieces of stones on the floor beneath the heater. (300+ hours of use typically)

  5. Exterior Maintenance:
    • Clean the exterior surfaces of the Nordic Cycles regularly using water and soft cloth.
    • Inspect the exterior for any signs of damage, such as cracks, and address them promptly.
    • If your Nordic Cycles is outside in an area that may be affected by the elements, apply a protective sealant or finish to the exterior wood surfaces to prevent water damage and maintain the appearance.
    • Ensure your Nordic Cycles remains on a level, stable surface, preventing shifting or settling over time.

By following these maintenance tips, you can ensure your Nordic Cycles remains in top condition, providing you with years of relaxation and enjoyment.
